About the program

An intensive 12-month Incubation and Acceleration Program.
Applications are open from 14th june to 05th july 2019.

The AYADA Lab program takes place in Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Nigeria, Senegal and Ghana from June 2019 to April 2020.

It consists of local and regional workshops, mentoring by some of the best African entrepreneurs today in the areas of cultural and social entrepreneurship, networking with African and European cultural entrepreneurs. The program takes place in English and French, the two languages of the Lab.

Young West Africans entrepreneurs who meet the following criteria
are more than welcome to apply :
  • Aged between 20 and 35
  • Be a national of and based in either Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria or Cameroon
  • Have a 1 year project experience or a tested idea creating value of innovation with high impact on society
  • Have a project in the Cultural and Creative industries (fashion, books, cinema, etc.), Civil society issues (education, women rights and empowerment, civic tech, active citizens) or the Environment

A French-German program

Cooperation partners

goethe institut

The Goethe-Institut’s main missions are to promote the learning of the German language as a second language, foster international cultural cooperation and convey a comprehensive image of Germany by providing information about its cultural, social and political life. Today it is represented in 98 countries by 159 institutes (including 12 in Germany) and has some 3,300 employees. With institutional funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Goethe-Institut is, at the international level, the major cultural institution of the Federal Republic of Germany, and contributes widely to the promotion of artists, ideas and works. Supporting the local cultural scenes and strengthening pan-African dialogue through the arts are part of its mission in Sub Saharan Africa, where it operates 14 institutes.

Institut Français

The Institut français is a public institution responsible for French cultural actions abroad. Under the aegis of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, it actively contributes to France’s soft power. Its projects and programs can be successfully implemented thanks to the vast network of the French Embassies’ cultural services, as well as the many Instituts français and Alliances Françaises present accross five continents.
